Friends, 

Last Friday, my piece outlining my plan for the security of our elections was featured in the Boston Globe.  I wanted to make sure you saw it, because it's just too important of an issue to ignore.  

Here's the most pressing issue regarding our election security:

We don't have one voting system in America.  We don't have ten.  There are FIFTY-SIX separate voting systems in America used by 235,000,000 people.  Different laws, different standards, and different levels of funding. And cyberdefenses are rarely a priority.

This is the face of 21st Century information warfare.  This is how they will try to take down our democracy.

This antiquated system must be reformed.  And when I get to Congress, I'll make sure  it does.

The thing is, we already have the technology available to secure our elections.  We just need uniform standards, and the political will and leadership to implement it.
