TTP emails, parade, fall campaign
If you're having trouble viewing this email, you can see it online.

Hey, Everyone!
There's so much going on with True Texas Project that I wanted to take a moment to address 3 issues with you.  Thank you for reading!

TOO MANY EMAILS!
Unsubscribe: The case of too many emails - Market2Marketers
First, I've now received 3 complaints from folks who say they are getting too many emails.  And if 3 of you have complained, there are probably more of you thinking it!  Please know, we are aware.  But please also understand why...

1.  The monthly meetings are now in 15 locations!  Many of those are in neighboring counties.  If we only send the announcement to the county the meeting is in, we miss a lot of people who cross county lines to attend.

2.  Not only that, how can you share meeting announcements with folks you know in other areas if you're not receiving them?  Facebook has banned us from advertising, so we are dependent on you spreading the word!

3.  The meetings all happen within a 2 1/2 week span... so you're getting a lot of emails back-to-back... and then much less for awhile until it all starts up again.

4.  Each email has the county location in the subject line.  This means if it is not a location you care about, you can easily delete without even opening it. Easy, breezy!

5.  In September & October we hosted boot camps in all 15 locations in addition to our monthly meetings, which means you got DOUBLE the number of emails.  We get it -- that's a lot -- just know it's not the norm!

6.  But really the bottom line is this... the vast majority of our people ASK to receive all emails because they want to be informed.  For those that find it a terrible inconvenience, we hope that the small effort required to delete an email is not too high a price to pay for us working hard to save Texas!  The nasty emails I've received over this subject have been shocking.  If that's you're biggest problem, we sure have bigger and better tasks we can occupy your time with!  Thank you for your understanding and patience!

CHRISTMAS PARADE!We are super excited to have an entry in Grapevine's Christmas Parade!  Grapevine is the Christmas Capital of Texas, and tens of thousands turn out for this event from all over the state.  It's a great opportunity to let people know about our group!  Do you want to walk with us on Thursday, Dec 2?  We need 27 people to join in, and all ages are welcome as long as they can hold a sign or prop and walk the full time/distance.  Email [email protected] to volunteer!

ONLINE FALL FUNDRAISER

Get this...  Fran and I were told that in order for an online fundraiser to be successful, we had to spend our time personally calling each person who's participated with TTP and ask them to donateSay what???  Trust me... our time is stretched to the limit as it is.  We are both volunteers, and we give unspeakable hours to the cause.  We love it, and we wouldn't take a salary if you asked us to, but we DO need your help

All we're asking for is a small monthly payment -- maybe $5, $10 or $20 -- to help us meet the needs of running a statewide organization.  Do you have any idea how much easier it is to budget when we already know what is coming in???  I promise you, we are insanely frugal with the money we receive.  We don't splurge.  We aren't frivolous.  Our sole focus is on saving Texas.  We must have help.

If you appreciate all that True Texas Project does, a great way to show it is by donating.  Wanna hear what we do?  Check this out:

***Host meetings in 15 locations.  That's 15 facilities, 30 speakers, 150 volunteers, and 15 programs to coordinate every single month.

***Educate through top-notch speakers on relevant subjects.

***Provide opportunities to build community through social activities like softball games, dinners, and parties on a regular basis throughout the state.  To build the army we must build community.

***Train on the Constitution, how to be an activist, how to stop CRT in the schools, how to hold more secure elections, how to be a leader, and lots more

***Develop leaders and volunteers throughout the state to represent TTP to every elected official from city council to school board to county commissioner to state legislature to US Congress

***Provide detailed voter information for every election

***Coordinate with people and groups statewide to push back against masks, vaccine mandates, property taxes, gender modification, and more through protests, rallies, and public meetings

***Keep people abreast of news and happenings via social media

Fran and I (and a lot of other volunteers) are doing the heavy lifting.  We are asking you to come alongside us and donate with a monthly pledge I don't care how much it is.  It all adds up.  What's more, it's a huge encouragement to both Fran and myself to know you see our efforts and you appreciate them!
Please donate this week.  Our Fall fundraising drive ends on Saturday.  Let's keep building the army, and let's make Texas the lighthouse we are going to need!  Click here to sign up.  Your donation is being matched by Patriot Mobile, a company that believes in the True Texas cause!

So those are the 3 issues I really wanted to address. Thank you for reading this far!  There are SO many more things I wanted to add, but I don't want to burden you.  I wanted to remind you that voting is going on now, that we need volunteers in every location, that we have a Spooky Pooch Parade, softball games, and a Christmas party coming up and our calendar is full of opportunities to get involved, and that we want you to be on social media with us (me, Fran, TTP, TTP Events, and all our county chat groups) where really the bulk of our day to day information is shared regarding legislation, concerns, and commentary -- so just click if any of those topics interest you.  We do what we do because we care about each of you, and we really want to connect!

Thanks,
Julie McCarty, Volunteer CEO
