Hunting season is now in full swing, but our public lands face attack after attack from some politicians, corporations and special interests looking to make as much money as possible from our land.

It’s an exciting day here in Montana -- deer and elk rifle season is now officially underway. As a hunter and lover of the outdoors, this is a time that I look forward to all year. I’ve always been a champion for both responsible public land use and hunter safety.

I’m proud of how devoted Montanans are to not only hunting safely but making sure we protect the lands on which we both hunt and recreate. If we want to continue doing that, we must have champions at all levels of our government.
