The climate provisions in our Build Back Better legislation are critical to our future. They will help us avert the worst impact of catastrophic climate-related disasters — and will save lives. They should also ensure that the biggest polluters help pay to clean up their mess. And addressing climate change is not only about preventing catastrophe; it is also about seizing the opportunity to create millions of good paying, homegrown clean energy jobs across our country as we work to cut greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2050. The science is clear: if we don't act now it will be way too late. Chris |
