Last week, Republicans finally came to the table to avoid a debt ceiling crisis -- but it wasn’t without weeks of political ploys. Let’s be clear here: Democrats are working hard to help our economy recover from the worst pandemic we’ve seen in decades, and Republicans are trying to obstruct any progress to score partisan points.

Keeping our government funded and raising the debt ceiling are crucial to our country. Republicans pretend to be “fiscal hawks,” but only when a Democrat is in the White House. When Trump was in office, they had no problem adding almost $7.8 trillion in debt.

The GOP is full of hypocrites! And we can’t let them win again and again on issues they only take interest in if it incites their base.
