Read her statement STATEMENT: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Responds to Governor Kemp's Letter to the Georgia Delegation FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OCTOBER 12, 2021 Washington D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene issued the following statement in response to Governor Brian Kemp’s letter to the Georgia Congressional delegation requesting opposition to Biden’s budget: “This type of failed legislation is just more of the Democrats trying to pick winners and losers by only helping their friends while hurting others. We must create and repeal laws to incentivize all businesses to create jobs while maintaining strong competition in the marketplace that always leads to great customer service and good prices for consumers. The electric vehicle tax credit scheme Governor Kemp opposes is just a small part of this monstrosity pushed by the Democrats. Not only does Biden’s budget have specific provisions that will directly damage businesses in Georgia, the entire reconciliation bill would plunge our state into socialism. Georgia’s small businesses will have more than half of their income taxed at 52% if Biden’s budget becomes law. Over $80 billion will be directed to the IRS to double the number of agents used to target and harass families and job creators. $7.5 billion will fund AOC’s Civilian Climate Corps to enlist thousands of communist foot soldiers to promote and implement the Green New Deal. The Biden administration is hell-bent on destroying the American Dream and crippling the economy by raising taxes, implementing communist 'environmental' regulations, targeting entire industries, and selling our nation to China. Our Georgian delegation must oppose the Democrats’ agenda every step of the way.” ### Rep.
