Friend,
For democracy to work for all of us, it must include us all.
That’s why we’re calling on President Joe Biden to do everything in his power to persuade the Senate to pass the Freedom to Vote Act, and to overcome the filibuster to get it done.
We need people all around the country to join us and demand immediate action.
Will you call the White House on October 12th and add your voice to our movement to protect our freedom to vote? Call 1-888-724-8746 to get connected to the White House!
President Joe Biden has denounced the anti-voter laws that are being proposed all across the country. He said we’re facing “the most significant test of our democracy since the Civil War,” and he’s right.
The Freedom to Vote Act would be the most significant voting rights bill in generations. It would protect the freedom to vote equally for all Americans, stop partisan gerrymandering, and limit the influence of dark money so that billionaires can’t buy elections.
Republicans in the Senate have already started to come out in opposition of this bill, even though we know this bill would drastically help those in our rising electorate.
That’s why we must act now. President Biden and the Senate must do whatever it takes to pass this bill. The freedom to vote is too important for outdated procedures or loopholes, like the filibuster, to stand in the way.
Please, take 2 minutes on Tuesday, October 12th to call the White House at 1-888-724-8746 and let them know that you demand action from President Biden and his administration to protect the freedom to vote.
The White House comment line is open Tuesday to Thursday, from 11 am – 3 pm ET. When you reach a staff member, tell them your name and that you are a constituent. Then, demand that President Biden do everything in his power to help overcome the filibuster and pass the Freedom to Vote Act.
Call the White House this Tuesday at 1-888-724-8746.
Thanks for speaking out for the freedom to vote,
Team VoterPAC
P.S. Calling and making your voice heard is vital in the fight against voter suppression -- but we must continue this work at every level, too. That’s why VoterPAC is working on the ground to combat voter suppression in California's Central Valley and across the country. Please consider chipping in whatever you can so we can continue to do this critical work. >>
