$20,000+.
That’s the amount of money other developed countries, including Denmark and Norway, are spending per toddler on child care.
$500.
That’s the amount of money the United States spends per toddler on child care.
Now, my progressive colleagues and I are fighting to change this by passing President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda.
If the Build Back Better Act is passed, most American families will continue receiving $3,000 to $3,600 in tax credits for each of their children. That means millions of children will be lifted out of poverty — cutting child poverty in half. This is an enormous triumph for working families. If you agree, please:
Look, John — this isn’t hard. Our country has the resources to fund comprehensive child care, Medicare expansion, paid family and medical leave, create millions of green jobs, and so much more. That’s why President Biden’s $3.5T Build Back Better Act is completely paid for.
But what is lacking is the political will, both from Republicans and conservatives in the Democratic Party.
I’m reaching out to ask for your support so that we can show everyone opposing the Build Back Better Act that the progressive ideas in this plan are enormously popular.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for your support.
