They haven’t been seen together
since January and we think we know why. It isn't because the food at
Mar-a-Lago sucks. Or that Bedminster smells weird.
Pence is trying to use the current
environment as a cover to slip out from under Trump’s thumb. If you
guessed he’s plotting a 2024 run, you’d be right, Friend.
The problem is – Pence can’t win
without Trump’s base.
So, what’s his genius plan to get
Trump’s base to follow him?
To speak out and blame the media
for attacking the January 6th insurrectionists. Have you ever heard of
anyone more desperate than someone who is trying to defend the people
who chanted “Hang Mike Pence!” and rushed the capital with ropes and
blind fury?
Hey, yeah, they were trying to kill
me, but that's just what the media says. Right.
The thing is, those are probably the only times we ever
really thought about Mike Pence in the four years he was living in
D.C. (Oh, right,
fly-gate.)
His role as Trump’s VP was to keep
his mouth shut, wave for the cameras, and con evangelicals into
supporting a guy who didn't know how to hold a Bible right side up.
But you and I know that even in the midst of the most narcissistic
President in recent history, he was plotting for his own eventual run.
We all saw him toe the line when needed and then slink back and be
seen as little as possible.
Trump even said he picked the wrong
man for the job. Sure, he was worthless to Trump’s election overturn
attempt.
He must think Trump forgot. Or that
he can con Trump’s supporters. No way Pence thinks he can go up
against Trump in a primary, right? Or does he actually think the same
base that wanted him hanged will turn around and pick him as Trump's
heir?
Now, DeSantis, on the other hand…
Our sights may be on Virginia right
now but we haven’t taken our eye off of the insanity of Trump-world
palace intrigue. We’re not going anywhere, and
we hope you’re with us, Friend.
