The secret sweetheart deal for Duke Energy is on the fast track. The state Senate votes at 3 pm! Click here to email your senator now » [link removed]

John,

A few days ago, a new version of the secret sweetheart deal for Duke Energy emerged from the state legislature, still negotiated behind closed doors.

And it's still bad news.

Gov. Cooper worked to improve the bill, but Duke still holds too much sway over legislators in charge.

The bill allows Duke Energy too much room to wiggle out of carbon reductions, and too much power to thwart our clean energy future and pad its profits at the expense of low-income communities and North Carolinians of color.

This bill will set energy and climate policy for our state for decades to come, and will have a huge impact on our economy. We can do so much better.

Time is running out to fix this bill. Your senator needs to hear from you now, John » [link removed]

Thanks for taking action,
