** Election night wrap-up

It's been three days since election night, and though it was a disappointing result, there is lots to be excited about. After just one year in existence, nearly 300,000 Canadians were able to vote their conscience for the People's Party. The party, with the committed help of thousands of fans and volunteers, was able to spread it's ideas and principles of freedom, fairness, respect and responsibility and get in the minds of many, many more. And with our foot in the door, come next election - be it one year or four years from now - the PPC will be in the back of lots of people's minds who are looking for something different.

And despite what opponents and the mainstream media are wanting you to believe, the PPC isn't going anywhere. Maxime Bernier is as committed as ever to continue to grow the party as the only true conservative option in Canada at the federal level. And do we ever need it, after how the centrist so-called "Conservative" Party campaigned.

One can find a good comparable in the Reform Party's election results dating back to the late 80s, and easily see a path to success that the PPC can replicate and improve on.

Lastly, we would like to pass along our sincere thanks you to everyone who helped the People's Party and PPC Abbotsford these past several months. We were blessed to have the help of volunteers hanging up signs and door hangers, people willing to brave showing their support with lawn signs, and donations (your tax receipts will be on their way) to help us cover the expenses involved in running the association and the election campaign.

If you were provided with a lawn sign, please hang onto it! Another election in the near future is always a possibility, and we would love to count on your support if and when that time comes (if you don't want to keep the sign, please simply dispose of it). Our larger signs from across the city will be taken down this Saturday morning. If you would like to help with that, please reply to this email.
