Welcome to WCV's Weekly Election Update, your one-stop-shop for pertinent voting information, actions to take, and upcoming events hosted by WCV-endorsed candidates. With a plethora of local elections happening this year, the future of our environment and communities are at stake. Electing pro-environment local governments is a crucial factor in creating an equitable, just, and healthy environment for all, especially on issues we all care about like housing justice, clean water, and public transportation.

Are you a military or overseas voter? You're still eligible to vote in the Nov 2nd General Election and there are accessible voting options available to you! Now is a good time for military and overseas voters to fill out or update your registration because you are eligible to receive you ballot earlier than local voters in Washington. You have the option to return your ballot by mail, email, or fax. While our system does allow you for more time to get your ballot returned to the county elections department, it still must be signed and dated by election day so check your registration today to ensure it indicates that you are in the armed forces or living overseas. You can find more detailed information from the Secretary of State here.

Join the Evergreen Future Textbanking team! Volunteers will send texts to thousands of voters to get out the vote for pro-environment candidates in local elections across the state. To be a part of this team, you just commit to sending texts for three hour-and-a-half shifts between now and Election Day — that's it! Training will be provided by our field team.

Take action to fight for fair representation for people of color! Washington Conservation Voters is a proud member of  Redistricting Justice for Washington, a coalition advocating for increased accessibility to the redistricting process. We need you to send an email to the Redistricting Commission to make sure communities of color and Washington’s Tribes are empowered in this year's redistricting process.

Sign up to phonebank with WCV and Hamdi for Port! Join our virtual event on Monday, October 25th from 6-8pm to support Hamdi Mohamed, pro-environment and WCV-endorsed candidate for Port of Seattle Commissioner.

Help elect Nikkita Oliver to Seattle City Council by joining the Environmental Justice Canvas Day this Sunday, October 10th at 11am. Meet at Ballard Playground! At the link above, you can also find other canvas days or events like community listening posts.
