Help for Hoosiers
The federal government exists to serve Americans, but too many people get lost in the confusing, overwhelming federal bureaucracy. I know many Hoosiers who have not gotten timely responses to inquiries or who have been improperly denied benefits they are owed. If you or someone you know has run into such problems, I might be able to help.
In 2018, my team was able to assist 865 constituents navigate the federal bureaucracy, resulting in $3,054,173 returned to Hoosiers. One veteran who first made a Veterans Administration claim in 2005 received a payment of nearly $350,000 after contacting my office.
In addition to financial problems stemming from veterans benefits, Social Security, and Medicare and Medicaid, my office can help in other ways, including:
- Obtaining lost medals or medals that were awarded for veterans.
- Helping Hoosiers receive expedited passports.
- Working with foreign governments to facilitate international adoptions.
- Writing letters of support for certain grants.
- And much more.
If you know of someone who needs help with these or other federal programs, visit us at young.senate.gov/help or call 317-226-6700. Thank you for allowing me to serve you in the United States Senate.
