COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Shot Guidance

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), COVID-19 Vaccine booster shots are currently available for the following Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine recipients who completed their initial series at least 6 months ago and meet one of the following conditions:

65 years and older
Age 18+ who live in long-term care settings
Age 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
Age 18+ who work in high-risk settings
Age 18+ who live in high-risk settings

Full Agriculture Committee Hearing Led by Chairman David Scott Examines the Potential of Carbon Markets to Sustainable Agriculture and Forestry

At my very first hearing as chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, I pledged to explore every opportunity to mitigate climate change and the significant risk it poses to agricultural production. This week, in keeping with that promise, I led a full committee hearing to explore the potential carbon markets pose to address our rapidly warming planet and advance a more sustainable approach to agriculture and forestry.

On 27th Anniversary of Violence Against Women Act, Rep. David Scott Urges Senate Support for VAWA Reauthorization

This month, I was proud to recognize the 27th anniversary of the passage of the landmark Violence Against Women Act. Earlier this year, I joined my House colleagues in passing the bipartisan, lifesaving VAWA reauthorization to address this stark reality and ensure the safety of survivors of domestic abuse, stalking and sexual assault for our most vulnerable, including immigrant, LGBTQ and Native American women and communities of color.

The bipartisan bill, H.R. 4350, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022, which includes my amendment to help expand the talent pipeline for Department of Defense construction projects to meaningfully reflect the diversity of our nation, advances critical support for our servicemembers, improves our readiness and reasserts the importance of our international partnerships. I am proud to stand with my colleagues as we continue the important work of caring for those in uniform while providing for a strong national defense.
