Did you know that ours is one of the only states in the country with a statewide election in 2021?

As we enter the home stretch of the election, and with Virginians already voting in person and by mail, the eyes of the nation are turning squarely toward us.  

If you live in Virginia, you’ve probably seen commercials for Terry McAuliffe and his opponent, Glenn Youngkin. But the gubernatorial election is just one of many important choices Virginians will make as they cast their ballots.

I’m fighting as hard as I can to make sure that all of our statewide candidates -- including Hala Ayala, our nominee for Lieutenant Governor, and Mark Herring, our nominee for Attorney General -- are elected.  

Polls show these races are extremely tight. So today, I’m asking you to donate $20, $50, $100, or whatever you can afford to support our great Democratic nominees for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General.

I’ve served as both Lieutenant Governor and Governor of Virginia in the past -- and I know how important it is that we have strong Democrats in these seats to continue the progress we’ve made in recent years.

The Republicans running for statewide office would reverse that progress. And we’ve already seen what can happen in Republican-led states like Texas and Florida, where Republicans have gutted women’s reproductive rights, limited access to voting, and bungled the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
