WHY WE NEED TO
BEAT THE BREXIT PARTY

If the Brexit Party get a toehold in Parliament in this upcoming election, they could inflict massive damage. HOPE not hate has made the decision to campaign against them, and we wanted to tell you why.

1. THEY ARE DANGEROUS AND DIVISIVE

Time and time again, Nigel Farage has proven himself to be a dangerous and divisive character. From his flippant blaming of immigrants for making him late to an event, to labelling British Muslims a "fifth column", Farage has stirred things up. His connection to far right figures in places like Germany and Italy speaks volumes. His friendship with a racist like Donald Trump tells you so much about the kind of MP Farage would be.

2. THEY WANT A NO-DEAL BREXIT

The Brexit Party want us the UK to crash out of the European Union, on the hardest possible terms. This would cause untold economic damage and hurt communities that are already struggling. Their plan would end up creating a fertile breeding ground for the far right. We must resist it.

3. THEY ARE AN ELECTORAL THREAT

There is a very real chance that the Brexit Party can do well in this election. They performed incredibly well in the 2019 European Elections, and have made a big impact in by-elections like Peterborough and Brecon and Radnorshire. National polls show them performing well enough to pose a real threat in vulnerable seats. We can't ignore them - we have to take them on.

4. THEY COULD HOLD THE BALANCE OF POWER

If this election ends in another hung parliament, there is a danger that Brexit Party MPs would hold the balance of power. they could force the next government to carry out their divisive, backwards vision for this country. We cannot let that happen - we have to stop them from becoming kingmakers by winning any seats.
