It sure seems like a lot of bickering and not a lot of action in Washington right now—and it feels exhausting.

But when I’m feeling frustrated about politics these days, here are a few things that keep me going:

• The pandemic is ravaging red districts, and Republicans are more concerned with scoring political points than saving people’s lives. We have a compelling case that Democratic leadership will help us end this pandemic.


• The GOP is hostile to our democracy. 146 Republican members voted to overturn the results of a fair election because Donald Trump didn’t win—even after a violent mob stormed the Capitol. If Democrats lose control, there’s nobody to stop Republicans from disregarding the results of the next election.


• Abortion rights, voting rights, and even marriage equality are under attack. With a conservative majority on the Supreme Court, we need a strong Democratic firewall in Congress to stop their dangerous agenda from eroding our hard-fought rights.

Republicans are more motivated than ever to take back power, and they aren’t going to go away quietly. We need to show overwhelming grassroots support for Democrats by finishing the quarter strong. Will you consider chipping in to show you are committed to staying in the fight?
