This is a small, scrappy organization created as a passion project by three progressive women, including two women of color, who are tired of seeing working-class candidates left behind when it comes to running for public office or becoming successful in the professional world.
Our fight starts with providing financial assistance, training, and support to Democratic candidates and campaigns seeking to run for public office, as well as ensuring that ethical labor practices are being implemented in the Democratic political space by demanding paid internships and livable wages.
We’re so proud of the work that we’re doing and all of the achievements we’ve made for our working-class candidates and their campaigns who come to us with little to no resources.
But we’re not some mega-donor super PAC -- we rely solely on grassroots donors like you to continue building our people-powered movement. And we need to know you’re still with us in this fight.

BARRIER TO ENTRY PAC supports candidates and campaign staff from working class backgrounds as they carve their paths in the Democratic political space. We provide direct cash assistance for essential items like phones, cars, laptops, and living stipends -- which often times, these candidates and their campaigns don't have access to. We also serve as a resource for individual mentorship and training to ensure candidates and their staff feel supported and equipped to enter the political space.
