Attorneys General encourage online vendors to take proactive steps to prevent illegal alcohol sales

The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) sent letters to leading U.S. online vendors, including Facebook and eBay, asking them to undertake certain steps to curtail illegal alcohol sales online. Digital platforms have given risen to the sale of unlicensed and unregulated alcohol. This presents a risk to consumers, including minors, who are exposed to illegal products that may not meet health standards.

NYC, California sue Postal Service over smuggled cigarettes

California and New York City sued the U.S. Postal Service on Tuesday to stop tens of thousands of cigarette packages from being mailed from foreign countries to U.S. residents, saying the smugglers are engaging in tax evasion while postal workers look the other way.
