This year has been historic in the House of Representatives – House Democrats have been fighting tirelessly for the American people since we took the majority.

We passed the Raise the Wage Act to increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour. We passed life-saving gun violence prevention measures, including universal background checks. We reauthorized the Violence Against Women Act. We passed the Equality Act to ensure equal protection under the law for LGBTQ Americans.

These are just a few, and we’re just getting started.

And yet there is one problem, and his name is Mitch McConnell. The Majority Leader has blocked each and every one of these bills from reaching the Senate floor.
