John,
The media will have you believe that President Biden has betrayed one of our closest allies and that his foreign policy agenda is falling apart. Folks, that could not be further from the truth.
Here are the facts: The French are upset that a massive diesel submarine package they were planning to sell to the Australians has fallen through. The Australians instead are going to go with American nuclear submarines, a far superior product, by the way.
Look, I get it. They just lost tens of billions of dollars in revenue for their private sector, so naturally, their first reaction is to lash out at President Biden and Sec. of State Blinken. It is important to note that the President did this because American national security supersedes French business interests.
If you polled 1,000,000 Americans and asked them if they were in favor of President Biden putting American national security interests ahead of French business deals, what do you think the results of that poll would be? The President solidified our relationship with the Australians, a long-time ally, and sent a message to our adversaries, the Chinese, that we will not tolerate their illegal activities.
The French and Chinese are lashing out as you would expect them to. Under this President, we are making global deals and reaffirming alliances with our British and Australian allies.
In my previous message, I told you that global problems require global solutions. The US, Australia, and UK alliance is needed to send a message to our allies as well as our adversaries. The US is leading from the front again, and I am pleased with that.
Tonight, I will be appearing on the Bill Maher show, and we will be discussing this as well as many other topics. I hope you will tune in.
Airborne,
Richard Ojeda
