Look, our campaign is built on the values my family instilled in me. No high-priced pollster tells me what works best with what subset of voters. I stand for what I by-God stand for. And Y’all means ALL! As a coach, aunt, teacher, neighbor, and community activist to name a few hats I wear every day, I am PROUD to stand for extending Title IX protections to LGBTQIA+ students! Do you? This is a no-brainer! I coach a lot of kids from different backgrounds with different talents and passions, and guess what? I treat them ALL equally. I treat everyone on our coaching staff equally. I grew up in a town of about 3,000 residents. We had mostly white families, a few black families, and a few Latino families. Everyone was treated equally, at least that I saw. But what I wondered at night was what happened when we weren’t together? So I want to be crystal clear: Title IX protections MUST include ALL students! Do you stand for all students being equal? It takes a village, and it also takes a woman with the grit to do what’s right for ALL of us!
