Community leaders will share their experiences and perspectives as Indigenous people on Indigenous rights, sovereignty, migration, and ways to better serve Indigenous migrant clients. While weaving in their personal stories, they’ll answer questions like:
- What are Indigenous Peoples’ Rights in the face of borders imposed on them by colonization?
- In what ways does the U.S. immigration system create challenges for Indigenous community members and migrants?
- Does it matter if legal advocates representing Indigenous migrants are Indigenous themselves?
- What can immigration service providers do to better serve their Indigenous migrant clients?
