It’s time Congress ends the filibuster, a Jim Crow-era procedural tool that prevents the Senate from passing common-sense legislation, like the For the People Act, with a simple majority.

We're at a defining moment in our country. We need to pass better legislation on healthcare, women’s reproductive rights (Texas, anyone?), voting rights, and so much more.

We’ve got good legislation -- like the For the People Act and the Freedom to Vote Act, and more -- but Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is weaponizing the filibuster and refusing to make a positive impact on people's lives.

This Jim Crow relic must be eliminated so that together, we can focus our work on ending voter suppression in this country and lifting the voices of Black and Indigenous people at the polls in our government.
