Earlier this month, SB8 was voted on and signed into law by the Texas state legislature. The bill moves to ban all abortions after six weeks without any exceptions.

We believe that abortion is health care. And no matter where you live, you should have access to the health care you need. This law endangers the health and well-being of people all over Texas.

This decision is already affecting Texans right now — and with the Supreme Court’s decision to do nothing to stop its implementation, it will have far-reaching implications for years to come. Extremist officials in a handful of state legislatures across the country have introduced similar legislation to restrict abortion rights in their home states.

AND the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a Mississippi case on Dec. 1 challenging Roe v. Wade.
