In April, the federal government funneled $2.6 billion in COVID-19 bailout dollars to Oregon for economic relief.
House Speaker Tina Kotek and Senate President Peter Courtney proposed the Legislature allot each state senator $4 million and each representative $2 million to spend at their discretion.
Senator Art Robinson (R-Cave Junction) backed up his pro-life views by choosing to give all of his assigned $4 million to the Pregnancy Care Center of Grants Pass.
We want to make abortion illegal. We also need a society that welcomes children and helps women and families in need.
Pregnancy care centers do just that by providing women facing unsupported pregnancies with tangible support. Thanks to Sen. Robinson, women in Grants Pass will find help for their very real needs.
