We spent all August recess hosting events with volunteers like you to tell our members of Congress that we need climate action NOW. Thank you for all you’ve done so far! But now, Congress returned to Washington to hash out the final details of the Build Back Better Act – the reconciliation package currently working its way through the House, the legislation we’ve been working toward this whole time. It’s the biggest and boldest clean energy and climate proposal in history – but right now, climate action hangs in the balance.
The oil and gas industry and other polluters are spending MILLIONS to flood Congress with deceptive messaging and apply pressure to strip climate action out of the bill. Widely supported, common sense climate provisions that would invest in communities of color and hire millions of people in new, good-paying, clean energy jobs could be on the chopping block.
