Today is the first day of early voting in our only AG race this year. Winning this race won’t come easy, but we know we can do it with your help. Read more to learn why:

Friend, early voting is starting in Virginia today and we need your help to reelect Dem AG Mark Herring right now.

Here are a few key updates on what’s going on in this critical race:

  • Two recent polls show this race within the margin of error. One poll shows AG Herring leading by two points, while the other showed him losing by less than two points. This race is going to be close.
  • Endorsements keep coming in for AG Herring – in the past few days, the Washington Post’s Editorial Board and the Human Rights Campaign have said that AG Herring is the right person for the job. Across the country, everyone knows that AG Herring will keep fighting for justice.
  • AG Herring’s extremist conservative opponent, Jason Miyares, just launched his first TV ad (that attacks AG Herring, of course) and is touring the state. Winning this race won’t be easy and Republicans will do anything they can to win the only AG race we have this year.

We can’t sacrifice the progress AG Herring has made – most recently, on leading the charge against gun violence with a new program to protect Virginians using federal relief money.

A future with Miyares as AG would be disastrous: rolling back gun restrictions, undoing protections for LGBTQIA+ Virginians, and restricting access to health care.

What’s more, Miyares believes he has momentum and thinks he can win this race, so we need to let him know that’s never going to happen.

Remember: The GOP spent over $7 million to defeat AG Herring last cycle, and they’re eager to send a message by winning their first race after Trump’s defeat.

Virginia is the only Attorney General election we have this year, and we need to send a message to Republican AGs and their allies that effective Democratic leadership is here to stay. Can we count on you to help us get voters out to the polls as early voting starts with a $3 donation now?
