Texas is (rightly) getting a lot of attention lately for its unconstitutional abortion ban and racist voter suppression law, but it's not just happening in Texas. And it's only going to get worse if Congress doesn't step up and take action. Now!
Just one week after Texas's outrageous abortion ban took effect, Gov. Abbott signed an outrageous voter suppression law that restricts voter access and opportunity for people of color. The VERY SAME community that is disproportionately affected by the abortion ban.
This is not a coincidence, and nobody knows that better than the incredible Black women leaders behind today's national day of action for voting rights and reproductive justice.
Make your voice heard! Urge Congress to pass federal voting rights and protect reproductive rights.

We need laws that will bring down the barriers erected to silence Black, Indigenous, young and new Americans and ensure an equal voice in the decisions that impact our lives - including if, when, and how to grow our families.
That's why we need Congress to pass the For the People Act, John Lewis Voting Rights Act, and the Women's Health Protection Act before it's too late.
