We want to congratulate Governor Gavin Newsom in California!
Republicans saw the California recall election as their best chance to pull a deep blue state onto an extremist, dangerous path.
We can celebrate now, but we can’t glaze over the fact that Governor Newsom could have been replaced by an anti-mask, anti-vax, and anti-immigrant far-right Trump supporter.
Events like the recall in California are proof, once again, of the real threat to progress the GOP could have if they win power up and down the ballot.
For us, we’re focusing on countering that threat in the Senate.
