The America I love is a shining city on a hill. 

For me, Illinois has always shined the brightest. But, we are failing to live up to that vision. Our failed political class is driving our state into the ground at every turn.

Illinois is known for three things: high taxes, corruption, and crime.

We are in debt up to our ears.

Self-serving politicians are teamed up with special interests.

And, rather than supporting our police, we are defunding them.

It’s no wonder businesses and families are fleeing the state.

That’s why I’m running for Governor. My name is Jesse Sullivan, I am a fifth-generation Illinoisan who grew up in Central Illinois. There I learned the core values of Faith, Family, and Service.

From Porta High School to Oxford and Stanford, education and sports opened new doors and challenged me to be better.

My faith led me to serve with charities in Haiti and to serve my country in Afghanistan doing counterinsurgency with the Department of Defense.

I started my own business to invest in entrepreneurs because I realized that the best way for families to rise out of poverty was not by giving handouts but by helping create jobs, lots and lots of jobs.

I’m inspired by the folks all across Illinois who are hardworking, generous, and resilient. 

I love my home state, the land of Lincoln. The land of faith, family, and service. It’s where I want to raise my kids and grandkids. Illinois, our beautiful home, is worth fighting for!

This fight that we embark on today is about those weak politicians vs. We the People.

And this fight will not stop, I promise you that, until this era of high taxes, corruption and crime comes to an end.
