Every year we experience increasing threats caused by climate change, from bigger forest fires to longer and hotter heat waves. We must elect leaders who are willing to support bold environmental action.

Join us for WCV’s annual Gathering of Environmental Champions — [[link removed]] a virtual, lunch-hour event, on Thursday, October 14th. [[link removed]] You’ll get to learn about Evergreen Future, a Washington Conservation Voters campaign to push candidates and elected leaders across the state to take bold climate action.

Here are seven more reasons you won’t want to miss this event!

1. Geography is no boundary, join us from wherever you are.

2. Our CEO, Alyssa Macy, will host a special roundtable discussion on how removing the lower Snake River dams will impact the health of communities, environment, and salmon in our region.

3. Shannon Wheeler, Vice Chairman of Nez Perce Tribe Executive Committee, will join the conversation on behalf of the salmon and the rivers.

4. Hear from WCV’s 2021 Legislator of the Year, Representative Joe Fitzgibbon.
