I was raised by civil rights activists: by a mother who fought to find a cure for cancer in the lab and marched for equality in the streets. The fight for justice is all I’ve ever known. In our household, fighting for what’s right wasn’t just a guideline. It was a requirement. It’s why I made the decision to become a prosecutor -- to bring new voices to the table and fight for justice from the inside, without having to ask permission. And it’s why I’m running for President of the United States. Together, we’re building a different kind of campaign. We’re reaching out to people who’ve been left behind by politics as usual and bringing people together around our common values. We’re showing everyone -- regardless of the demographic a pollster puts us in or the zip code in which we live -- that we all have a place and a voice in our America. But power concedes nothing without a fight. And with our opponents raising huge sums of money, we can’t afford to fall behind. That’s why I’m asking: will you make a grassroots contribution to our campaign? It’s going to take all of us in this fight for justice: If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: We are tied together by our common values and our common purpose. Together we will fight. And together we will win. Thanks for raising your hand to be in this fight. For The People, — Kamala Harris
