Sunday was day 8, the final day of my walk across the Granite State — walking in the shoes of New Hampshirites. After walking over 90 miles in 7 days, yesterday's 8 mile stroll from North Hampton to Portsmouth felt easy like Sunday Morning.

First thing I did was visit the SEE Science Center to talk about spreading STEM education to the youth of America. Susan, the Executive Director, gave me a delightful tour. Her interactive science displays for young children were the most impressive I've seen. It is no wonder over 40,000 people come to visit every year!

After leaving Congress, I led FIRST Global, a nonprofit with the objective of promoting STEM education in the developing world through Olympics-style robotics competitions. Women were responsible for leading, organizing, or funding 60% of all nations' teams -- you can learn more about FIRST Global here: [link removed] [[link removed]]

Next, I stopped by a local gun show. I believe in common sense gun reform. I know that not everyone agrees on this issue but, as President, I will go to gun shows and the NRA to bring about sensible gun reform, from an assault weapons ban to background checks. See my video at the gun show here [[link removed]] .

Now nearing Portsmouth, I stumbled upon a wicked good yahd sale!

Upon arriving in Portsmouth shortly thereafter, I met with some local, national and international friends to discuss Climate Change. They included the chair of the Portsmouth Democrats, the manager of the gun show I attended, and visiting group of youth from China! This was especially welcome, because in order to address the defining challenges of our time, we must convene the world.

After the event, many of those who came finished the final half mile walk with me to the shore. Across the way was Portsmouth Naval Harbor, where I first left shore on a 31 year voyage with the United States Navy.

The past 8 days have been truly wonderful. I met fantastic people, and I learned about what inspires them in life. I also learned about the problems they face from day to day, and what they want from their presidential candidate.

A message of unity resonated here. It is a message that few other candidates bring to the table. I feel, the only way we can unite this country is to elect a President who is one of the people. Someone who is willing to walk in your shoes. I will be that President.

I'll continue to meet people in New Hampshire, Iowa and around the country. For my schedule for the coming days and weeks, please check out our events page ( here [[link removed]] ).
