I’m sure you’ve seen the news coming out of Texas — as of today, a new law is in effect that attacks the right to an abortion.

This law bans abortions after six weeks, before most patients even know they’re pregnant. It also allows individual citizens to SUE Texans who receive abortion care — creating a bounty system where someone can collect $10,000 for reporting abortions.

This law is cruel, it’s dangerous, and it’s unconstitutional. Every Texan deserves access to high-quality reproductive care, including abortions, which are supposed to be protected under Roe v. Wade. The Supreme Court MUST step in to protect 50 years of legal precedent.

This battle’s only just beginning. Democrats will keep pushing in court to defend reproductive rights. But we have an urgent need right now to make sure Texans can get the reproductive care they need.
