Like Dolores Huerta said about Gov. Newsom, “He’s proven that he’s a friend of the Latino and immigrant community. And we need to keep him.”
As governor, Newsom has:
- Focused on distributing COVID-19 vaccines to high-risk Latinx communities.
- Supported sending stimulus checks to undocumented folks.
- Expanded Medi-Cal health care coverage to undocumented seniors.
- Offered housing for any farmworkers suffering from COVID-19.
- Invested in public education to help our children.
In contrast, Larry Elder:
- Wants to reverse sanctuary laws, health care for undocumented people, and birthright citizenship.
- Conflates Latinos with crime.
- Opposes the minimum wage, abortion rights, and vaccine/mask mandates.
- Supports Trump and mentored known white supremacist Stephen Miller.
- Makes misogynistic remarks about women, saying they “exaggerate the problem of sexism” and that working moms aren’t “dedicated.”
