John, this is urgent news --
Val Demings trails Marco Rubio in the race for Florida's Senate seat by two percentage points. Marco Rubio has worked tirelessly to repeal the Affordable Care Act. He's also an infamous climate change denier, outspoken anti-masker, and proud Trump loyalist.
If Demings defeats Rubio, Democrats will expand our Senate majority and continue to pass progressive legislation to move our country forward. But if Demings loses, not only will Rubio spend another six years in the Senate, but Democrats will almost certainly lose their Senate majority, handing control back over to Mitch McConnell.
We are doing everything we can to elect Val Demings, but she's still behind in this race and we're $430 from our daily fundraising goal. If we fall short, we'll have to scale back our plans in Florida, which will mean Rubio wins again.
