Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, the first Latina ever elected to the Senate, is the one of the most vulnerable Democrats up for re-election in 2022. She defeated her Republican opponent by just 2 points in 2016 and we know she can do it again. But the truth is, we're worried: Trump and his MAGA army are targeting Nevada.
Trump just endorsed her Republican opponent, Adam Laxalt, a candidate who stands for the same bigotry and misinformation that Trump spent four years spreading. This endorsement will open up the floodgates of dark money and MAGA disinformation. John, they only need one seat to flip the Senate, and we can't let them win this one.
We can't let the GOP control the Senate and backtrack on all the progress we've made. We can't afford to lose another progressive woman in the Senate, but our supporters have stopped donating to support Cortez Masto and the MAGA army is mobilizing fast to flip this seat.
Cortez Masto has fought tirelessly to reform our immigration system and rebuild American infrastructure. She cast critical votes to protect the ACA when Republicans almost repealed it in 2017. She fought tooth and nail to win her seat in 2016 and now she's fighting even harder to keep our Democratic Senate majority.
But all of this will be lost if we don't support Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto -- and we're $1,230 behind our goal. That's why we're asking you. You've stepped up before, and we're counting on you again.
