This is the fourth in a series of emails highlighting some of our strong Democrats who are running for the Virginia House of Delegates in 2021. I hope you’ll take a look and consider joining me in support of these great candidates.
Friend,
I’m writing to you today about three excellent candidates running to represent their districts in the Virginia House of Delegates. These candidates bring a determined focus to delivering on behalf of their constituents, so I hope you’ll make a split donation to support their campaigns and help keep Virginia blue this November.
The first candidate I’d like to highlight is Debra Gardner. Debra’s been a resident of Chesterfield County for more than 30 years. She’s served at the chief deputy level of three state agencies -- and devoted countless hours to organizations that provide aid in her community.

Debra is committed to helping Virginia recover from COVID-19 by building an economy that works for all -- including fair wages, transparency around economic development programs, and supporting continued relief for small businesses and workers. She’s promised to invest in quality education for all, protecting Virginia’s environment, and ensuring access to affordable health care.
Please chip in whatever you can to support Debra Gardner’s campaign to represent the 27th District in Virginia’s House of Delegates.
The next candidate is Delegate Schuyler VanValkenburg: Schuyler has represented Henrico County as Delegate since 2016. He’s also a high school history teacher -- and loves educating his students at Glen Allen High about how their government works and how they can use their knowledge to change the world for the better.

As Delegate, Schuyler has fought to make Virginia the national leader in education that it is today. He’s committed to investing in public education, better access to health care, and protecting our democracy through increased voting rights.
Schuyler flipped the 72nd District from red to blue in 2016. Can you please chip in any amount to support Del. VanValkenburg’s re-election campaign in 2021?
The last candidate is Delegate Rodney Willett: Rodney’s a Virginia native who grew up in a family of teachers. He attended William & Mary for undergraduate and law school, and has represented local governments in Virginia throughout his career. In the 90’s, he helped put Virginia at the forefront of the online revolution.

Rodney was elected to represent Henrico in the House of Delegates in 2019. Since then, he’s helped pass laws improving Virginia’s early childhood educational opportunities, adolescent mental health programs, and environmental protections.
Please chip in whatever you can to support Rodney Willett’s re-election campaign to represent the 73rd District in Virginia’s House of Delegates.
These leaders have spent their careers in service to their own communities. I’m proud to support their campaigns. I hope you’ll join me in helping Virginia’s progress toward strong, thoughtful leadership in Richmond.
Thanks for being a supporter of Democrats across Virginia.
