Legislatures in 15 states, including Oklahoma, Texas, Idaho, and Tennessee, are attempting to ban Critical Race Theory and the 1619 Project from public classrooms. Christian nationalists are leading this movement to indoctrinate our kids with white supremacy.
These educational tools center on the truth about slavery and racism and finally provide a missing piece to the history that generations of Americans have been taught. Our students cannot fully understand the history of slavery without coming to terms with how it was experienced by those who were enslaved.
