Chapter Wide Relational Organizing Mobilization Wednesday, August @ 7PM

We'll be calling DSA-ers you know to volunteer to get Nikkita Oliver elected for Seattle City Council Position 9. The idea is simple: reaching out to people we know is far more effective to building a team Re-establishing those social connections are critical both to electing another socialist and abolitionist to office but also for future actions: statewide public health coverage (I-1362), Kshama Solidarity against the right-wing recall, and Stephanie Gallardo for Congress. Can we count on you to attend this mobilization on Wednesday, August @ 7PM?

Labor Committee and a Green New Deal for Public Schools

The Seattle DSA Labor Committee has new chairs: Sunny, Mike, and Joey. Socialists into office alone won't win every demand we have: that also needs organizing our workplaces to be more democratic and safer during a pandemic, ensuring our labor unions are led by the rank-and-file not some bureaucracy, and leveraging our collective power at work for the greater good: environmental and racial justice too. Sound good? Sign-up for the Labor Committee meeting which is next week on Tuesday, August 31 at 6 PM.

Whomst has the power? We got the power. Green New Deal for Public Schools is phone-banking on Wednesday, August 25 from 6:30 PM to 8 PM to fix our schools and infrastructure, address racial and economic disparities in districts, and ensure schools and public infrastructure can mitigate against climate change and reduce carbon emissions as a whole. Our children deserve better, our teachers deserve better, our building trades deserve better -- and we can reduce carbon emissions to save the planet at the same time.
