More than a week into the worst foreign policy crisis in decades and the President still has not taken questions and remains out of the White House on vacation. The Administration continues to remain noncommittal about extracting every American, while billions of dollars of proprietary military equipment are now in the hands of the Taliban, and soon to be Russia, China, and Iran. The disastrous execution of our Afghanistan withdrawal is the result of incompetence and poor judgment. We are staring down the potential of a large-scale hostage crisis and have done untold damage to our nation’s reputation among our allies. In short, this avoidable crisis proves that Biden is unfit to lead. Adding insult to injury, New York Congressional Democrats from Gillibrand and Schumer down to every member of Congress have been pathetically silent. Their failure to put American citizens before party politics must not be forgotten in next year’s midterm elections, where taking back the House and Senate are of grave importance to holding this trainwreck administration accountable. That accountability is desperately needed in New York as well. As we are down to the final countdown of Cuomo’s reign of terror on our state, it’s important to remember that the Albany swamp is much deeper than one man. Kathy Hochul and the rest of the corrupt Democrat cabal have turned a blind eye and protected Cuomo for years. Because Assembly Democrats refused to impeach him, he is spending his final days in office granting clemency to criminals and smearing his victims, while still escaping justice for the deaths of 15,000 nursing home seniors. The only way to rid our state government of the stench of corruption is to elect a Republican executive who will break up the one-Party rule that is destroying our state. With Cuomo gone, we are one step closer to taking back New York & restoring integrity and common sense to our government. We value all of your feedback and questions. Question from Last Week: From Kacie: What does Kathy Hochul know and when did she know it? If she was Cuomo's 2nd in charge, how is it she does not face any responsibility? Answer: Great question, Kacie. Cuomo's penchant for law-breaking, his abuse of staff and his corrupt pay-to-play have been well-known for many years and Kathy Hochul happily served at his side through many more scandals than just sexual harassment. She refused to speak up when Cuomo was ordering thousands of seniors to their deaths during his nursing home order and said nothing about his coverup or disgusting $5m book deal. Whether it's Kathy Hochul or Democrats in the legislature, they have all played a role in either turning a blind eye or outright protecting Cuomo. That's why they all need to go. We need to smash the Democrat monopoly on our state that allowed this corruption and abuse to flourish for too long. Democrats have ruined our state--and there has never been a more compelling time to elect a Republican governor who will bring needed balance and accountability for the benefit of New York taxpayers. Biden's Saigon in Afghanistan A Message from Chairman Nick Langworthy As Americans go to sleep tonight we have fellow Americans trapped behind enemy lines in Afghanistan. There is no plan and no means to get them back here safely and their lives are in serious danger. Our Commander in Chief has broken a promise made to Afghans that supported US troops and efforts for the last 20 years. They face certain death by hanging and beheading by the Taliban if our nation doesn’t help them flee. Afghan women and girls are being forced into marriages and are going to be barbarically raped and tortured. The imagery at the Kabul airport is real. The horror on their faces is a real-life, life-or-death situation. American leaders have turned their back on these people. American soldiers who volunteered to fight the global war on terror and the Taliban that coddled and hid Osama Bin Laden after he killed 3,000 innocent Americans have been eternally disrespected. Those soldiers who didn’t come home and paid the ultimate price have been severely dishonored, as have their grieving families. This should haunt every one of us as we live our cozy lives. It is a stark reminder that elections do have consequences. When we elect a weak and feckless President that is not capable of the massive responsibility he has been bestowed, we should not be surprised that he makes horrible and irreversible decisions. This is a pathetic moment in our history. But after all, at least Joe Biden only sends out nice tweets. Remember this moment in November 2022. Candidate of the Week! Andrew Cuomo, according to Politico. Democratic New York Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul, who will fill Cuomo’s position on Aug. 24, announced Thursday her bid for reelection in 2022, according to Politico. Although the Republican Party leadership, including GOP state party chair Nick Langworthy, think that Hochul’s skills as a politician “shouldn’t be underestimated,” her ties to Cuomo will likely hurt her image given the embattled governor’s resignation over sexual harassment allegations, Politico reported. Read Full Here Dems trying to rig NY voting system Newsday With all the attention given to voting and election law fights in Georgia, Texas, and other states, few have paid attention to three proposals here in New York. While Democrats proclaim these measures as "reform," they're actually attempting to rig the political game in their favor and hope no one is paying attention. Albany legislative leaders have cynically placed three constitutional amendments on the November ballot seeking to permanently enshrine their political advantage. Regardless of party, voters need to become aware of this terrible trifecta and decisively reject these hyperpartisan plans. The first amendment would authorize no-excuse absentee voting. Current state law allows absentee ballots to be cast if the voter is away from home for any reason or is sick or disabled. Waiving this requirement in 2020 because of the pandemic meant local boards of elections had to deal with unprecedented numbers of paper absentee ballots. The National Pulse The presidency of Joseph Robinette Biden has been an unmitigated disaster from the get-go. There’s no other way to say it, and the political left knows it as much as the right. Nicole Malliotakis The notice came in white text on a dark screen: “This video has been removed for violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines.” The company last week blocked a 45-minute video of my news conference announcing a lawsuit challenging Mayor Bill de Blasio’s “vaccine passport” as an invasion of New Yorkers’ privacy and an unreasonable mandate on small businesses. I believe the vaccine is safe, effective and the best means of combating the Covid pandemic. But Mr. de Blasio’s mandate is a clear government overreach. Still YouTube removed the video, citing an alleged violation, never explained, of its “medical misinformation policy.” The video was censored for two days. After I appealed YouTube’s decision twice, the video reappeared and I was notified that after “taking another look,” YouTube had changed its mind. Behind the platforms, the people deciding what is “misinformation” and a violation of “community guidelines” are doing so in a subjective manner. Social-media giants suspended the U.S. president while continuing to provide a megaphone to tyrants like Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Venezuela’s Nicolas Máduro and Cuba’s Miguel Díaz-Canel. Read Full Here Alabama vet who nearly died in Afghanistan calls Biden withdrawal strategy 'disgusting' Fox News An Alabama Army combat veteran who nearly died in Afghanistan criticized President Biden’s chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan as "disgusting" to watch and a "disheartening" end to the 20 years of sacrifices made by members of the military and others. Colin Wayne Erwin, a former Army staff sergeant, almost died on May 3, 2012, when a rocket attack on his base in Paktika province blew up a gym with Wayne inside. He suffered severe injury with shrapnel in his legs, nerve damage in his back, and a traumatic brain injury. Wayne’s long road to recovery began at Bagram Air Base, the massive military hub in Afghanistan that the Biden administration chose to abandon before U.S. citizens and their allies were fully evacuated from the country.
