As we reflect on the state of affairs in Afghanistan, our hearts go out to the Americans and Afghan citizens currently evacuating, and our heartfelt prayers are with the military and service personnel working to resolve the situation on the ground – as well as the thousands of Americans still trapped there today. If anything, this catastrophe proves that now, more than ever, we must make our voices heard and fight to restore competent, conservative leadership – which is exactly what Greater Georgia will work to accomplish. In fact, we are already seeing tremendous success. Importantly, we are moving full speed ahead to register thousands of new voters. Unfortunately, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution published a story with incorrect data this week, claiming that 95 percent of eligible Georgia voters were registered. This claim is false. Their claim is based on an old estimate, which states the voting-age population is 7.6 million. The actual number of voting-age Georgians – based on updated data from the 2020 census – is 8.22 million, meaning the number of unregistered voters is actually far greater than the AJC's claim. Greater Georgia knows there is a lot of work to be done, and we are putting in the hours to make sure we can keep Georgia red in 2022 and beyond – but we need your help! Click HERE or the button below to find out how you can join the fight for conservative values. VOLUNTEER UPDATES: INTERNSHIP PROGRAM Greater Georgia has officially launched an internship program! We are recruiting interns to assist with voter registration and engagement. This opportunity will be great to learn the ropes of political organizing, including how to get out the vote, how to engage with voters in a variety of communities, and more. Possible areas of compensation include class credit, milage reimbursement, and cash incentives based on goal-oriented progress. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Outreach Coordinator Terry Fye at [email protected] with questions or to submit a completed application. The full internship application can be found HERE. 11TH DISTRCT GOP EVENT Greater Georgia registered and spoke with voters at the 11th District GOP Marksmanship Event and BBQ Reception, hosted by Adventure Outdoors in Smyrna Aug. 20, 2021 DONATE HERE! IN THE NEWS: LOEFFLER PENS OP-ED IN AJC: New conservative advocacy group showing results in Ga. Aug. 6, 2021 – Atlanta Journal-Constitution "Beginning in April, Greater Georgia began organizing and building out a targeted engagement program hyper-focused on registering new voters within [State House District 34] ... Along with our registration program, we executed a strategic plan to mobilize voters through text, telephone, direct mail, and paid digital advertising efforts. ... The results were astounding. Not only did [the conservative] win convincingly, taking 63 percent of the vote ... he overperformed the 2020 race for the seat by a full 7 points. Based on our post-election analysis of multiple targeted voter contacts, Greater Georgia's efforts directly contributed to 23 percent of the vote by engaging new, low-propensity and disenfranchised voters — putting a swing suburban seat, in the 3rd-most-populous county in our state, firmly back in the red column."
