Hello John,
Folks, the images coming out of Afghanistan have forced me and I’m sure, all of you, to really reflect and appreciate all of the things that we take for granted. I do, however, want to emphasize one thing.
These pictures are proof that the Biden administration is keeping its word and reacting with such tenacity to get these people to safety. I fought side by side with the Afghan people. They were some of the most generous, kind, and hard working people you will ever meet.
We see it already by the radical Right GQP and their talking piece Fox Russian State propaganda network constantly spewing hateful anti-refugee, anti-immigrant rhetoric. As Democrats and as Americans it’s important that we stand by our values. Since immigrants started arriving to America’s shores to be welcomed by the words on the Statue of Liberty---
"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”
My hope is that our voices reverberate louder than those of the GQP and the hateful extremist right wing fanatics. I urge you to keep the Afghan people in your prayers, and understand that politically, President Biden and the Democrats are facing all kinds of obstacles getting these refugees to safety.
They need our help!
We at No Dem Left Behind are working with our sister organizations and organizing campaigns to help urge our Congressional leaders to pass legislation to welcome more refugees.
We cannot let these GQP fascists replace our values with intolerance and bigotry!
The party is infected with conspiracy theory pedaling racists. We have to take a stand!
This is why we’re looking to support candidates who will replace some of these radical right wing congressmen and women like GQP Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Marjorie Traitor Greene, Mo Brooks, and others.
But we need your help. We need you to fight back against extremist right-wing propaganda and rebuild a tolerant America that stands for equality and liberty for all regardless of color, creed and sex. I’m asking you in this time of need to help us. We need to rally behind together, we can push back against the division and hatred and replace it with compassion and understanding.
