Donald Trump may be banned from Facebook, but his ads are not.

Hey there --

Donald Trump may be banned from Facebook, but his ads are not.

Despite being suspended from Facebook in January after inciting an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, Trump is back on the platform running ads for his PAC. He’s exploiting a massive loophole — and Facebook needs to close it.

Trump has spent up to $220,000 on these political ads on Facebook. It’s unconscionable that Facebook would allow him to restart ads despite using the “platform to incite violent insurrection against a democratically elected government” in Mark Zuckerberg’s own words. By allowing Trump to continue using the platform, Facebook is priming for a second insurrection.

We’re joining with partners to collect 100,000 signatures urging Facebook to enforce its own decisions and close the loophole. Add your name to our letter to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg now:

We’re looking forward to hand delivering each of these names to Facebook HQ in a few weeks. Together, let’s send a strong and simple message to them: A ban should be a ban.

Thanks for helping us hold Facebook accountable,
