CNN: Texas Senate Passes New Voting Restriction Bill
Friend, we’ve watched in awe as Texas Democrats banded together to block Republicans’ horrific voter suppression legislation in the state.

In fact, State Senator Carol Alvarado launched a 15 hour filibuster AGAINST this legislation.

But Republicans still banded together to advance this legislation -- a major blow to voting rights in Texas.

And now the Republican House Speaker just signed arrest warrants against the Texas Democrats who are bravely standing up and REFUSING to vote on this legislation.

Friend, we wish what was happening in Texas was an outlier, but the fact remains that Republicans across the country (even right here in California!) are working to restrict access to the ballot box.

And we can’t for one minute let them get away with it.
