Hey, John —
The Hill just published an op-ed by Mondaire and Congressman Jim Clyburn on the dangers of voter suppression, and we wanted to make sure you had the chance to check it out:
Mondaire and Rep. Clyburn are right — all across the country, Republican state officials are passing legislation to make it harder for young people, people of color, and members of other historically disenfranchised groups to vote. This is nothing short of a crisis for our democracy.
So, where do we go from here? Mondaire has repeatedly called for the abolition of the filibuster - and he’ll keep fighting to get rid of this Jim Crow relic - but in the meantime, the Senate must adopt an exception to the filibuster for constitutional rights like voting rights legislation.
And President Biden must help. He has the most powerful voice in the world, and can use that voice to pressure Senators Manchin and Sinema to support filibuster reform. It’s the right thing to do, and an essential step in the fight to secure voting rights for all.

Thank you, as always, for your support.
All our best,
Team Mondaire
