   Organized power is realized power.
Last night, the White House heeded our calls and announced a new,
two-month eviction moratorium for areas of the country with high rates of
   COVID-19.
This announcement is a testament to the strength of our progressive
movement and our unwavering collective advocacy.
I’m so grateful for my friend and sister-in-service, Rep. Cori Bush, whose
relentless work and powerful advocacy helped secure this victory — and I’m
grateful for you and for everyone who took urgent action to protect
millions of people from becoming unhoused.

Our work is not done yet — pandemic or not, every eviction is an act of
policy violence. That’s why we’re working hard to get critical funds
Congress authorized to renters and small landlords immediately.
I won’t stop fighting for those still facing the threat of eviction and
for transformative policies that meet the scale and scope of the crises
facing our communities — including affirming safe, affordable housing as a
human right. But none of this is possible without you.

It is because of your support, activism, and community building, that
we’re able to achieve victories like this one.
Thank you for being part of this movement.
   In solidarity,
   Ayanna
