In last night’s debate, there was not a single question on the nationwide attack on reproductive health and rights until Kamala stepped up to speak truth, calling out the repeated attacks on women -- particularly poor women and women of color -- in America.

It is unacceptable that we’ve come this far in this important election and still must speak up in order for the protection of women’s constitutional rights to be at the center of a presidential debate.

A woman’s ability to make decisions about her life and future is an issue of fundamental human rights. It’s an issue of autonomy, freedom, equality, and justice -- and it’s a key issue on the ballot in this election.

Kamala refuses to allow this issue to be ignored -- and neither can we.

We need a leader in the White House that will be a staunch fighter to protect and expand reproductive health care for all. And we need to elect her in 2020.
