Protecting our democracy means defeating Representatives who turn their back on democracy, deny science amid a deadly pandemic, and weaponize hatred for political gain. I’m running to unseat Madison Cawthorn, who has spent his time cozying up to dangerous far-right radicals instead of working for the people of North Carolina’s 11th District.

There are a select few Radical Right members of Congress who represent the worst of the worst -- who openly embrace conspiracy theories and regularly spew dangerous rhetoric. Madison Cawthorn has made more national headlines, but there’s another far-right leader who you might not know as well: Andy Harris of Maryland’s First District. He tried to smuggle a gun onto the House floor, nearly picked a fistfight in Congress, and voted against honoring the Capitol police officers who protected his life on January 6th.

Luckily, my friend Heather Mizeur is running a strong grassroots campaign against him -- and we’re teaming up to defeat these guys. Cawthorn and Harris are dangerous and well-funded, but Heather and I have the power to unseat them in 2022 with your help.

Heather has been a champion for our values her entire career. She’s been a Maryland state legislator, a non-profit leader, a policy advisor, and a farmer, and now, she’s ready to go to Congress to bring decency and compassionate leadership back to Washington.

Heather practices a politics deeply rooted in dignified, heart-centered, collaborative leadership, and smart, innovative policy thinking. She’s the kind of representative our country needs to rise up and meet the big challenges we face together.

Andy Harris, on the other hand, is more interested in siding with seditionists than defending our democracy.

All of us need to come together in order to defeat top Trump loyalists across the map. Any amount helps as Heather and I expand our grassroots campaigns to bring dignified leadership to Congress!
